Zelda Beverley And Leah Steele

Specialities: Cystic fibrosis, HIIT

Zelda Beverley works at the Royal Brompton Adult Cystic Fibrosis unit as a specialist physiotherapist and has a keen interest in exercise both at work and at home! Her first degree was in Exercise and Sports Science reflecting this love for both studying and enjoying being active. She has also completed a masters module in Exercise in Health and Disease. She is looking at developing exercise testing in their service at the Royal Brompton but her real passion is helping people with Cystic Fibrosis (and her friends and family!) enjoy a more active lifestyle.

Personally, she loves any sport or activity but most of her time is spent playing hockey or on her bike (I have 5 bikes!). Last year she had a mad 5 minutes at New Year and entered an Ironman Triathlon in Wales and after training she completed it in September taking a whopping 14hrs!!

Leah Steele did her Bachelor of Physiotherapy in Australia, after having studied a year and a half of Health and Exercise Science and then living in Denmark for a year after graduating from High School. She has also worked as a Pilates instructor and trained in Acupuncture.

Since then, she has worked as a Physiotherapist in Australia, Saudi Arabia and England. She has published research on tele-rehabilitation and injuries in the upper limb, and is going to present research into sample gathering techniques in the paediatric Cystic Fibrosis population at a Cystic Fibrosis conference in America this year.
