Cardio is important for everyone to keep fit and healthy, even more so for people with CF.

Physiotherapists Zelda and Leah know this well and have designed a high-intensity cardio interval workout that can help you keep good lung function, by clearing mucus and giving you more of a 'reserve' during periods of infection.

Zelda Beverley works at the Royal Brompton Adult Cystic Fibrosis unit as a specialist physiotherapist and has a keen interest in exercise both at work and at home! Her first degree was in Exercise ...

The speaking is out of time with the video, so the word 'rest' will come up on the screen before the instructors say rest

Got my heart racing the same as when I do cardio sessions in the gym. Very impressed going to try and fit in one pacster workout a day

Good intro cardio for me couldn't manage all of it but a great start. My only complaint is that the video didn't run smoothly lots of jolts and poor quality picture

I am not very fit so I really appreciate the rests inbetween. Can't quite do all the exercises yet as I get too tired but will work at being able to do them all and keep up!

It’s great to be able to select a workout that is best for you. All in the privacy of your home! You can choose the level you feel most comfortable with and progress accordingly. I strongly recommend you give it a try! Mark from Scarborough

Having Cystic Fibrosis I know how important it is to exercise however, I hate it. I’m rubbish at it and hate feeling breathless etc. I was told about pactster at clinic and I signed up straight away (this was back in May I believe!) that was as far as I got! Today something changed, I was sick of telling myself I will start it soon. I’m not long off IV treatment but I’m starting to feel tight chested and coughing, which is preventing me from sleep. I did a gentle stretch exercise before I started this workout. I really enjoyed it. I really benefited from the 30 second rest period between each exercise. Some were harder than others but I managed. I always choose to do the easier option which I’m completely fine with. The girls words of encouragement were a great help. The cooling down period was so beneficial. I think the reason I hate exercise so much is because I’m so breathless and my heart is beating so fast it freaks me out and completely drains me but I never do a coo
